This new door (both sides)was finished in a private house. New door was sanded and wiping stain was applyed. Next day first coat of exterior satin finish was applyed with a brush. Total six coats of Polyurathane and seven days of work.
Refinishing elevators never easy. This one wasn't exeption. Having take panels out for stripping wasn't easy. Huge center panel was't easy to remove. And installing it back, freshly refinished and still wet at 5 AM wasn't easy iether. But at the end everything cameout very nice.
This furniture was assembled from two different offices into one large. Some surfases were light and some were darker. All sufases were sanded and cleaned. All darker furniture, walls and carpet around furniture were covered with paper to protect from overspray. Colored lacquer was sprayed to match darker furniture. Paper was removed and all furniture was given two coats of clear Pre-Catalyzed Satin Lacquer.
This job was part of Manufacturer warranty service. Also we delivered and install different parts and additions to existing furniture. Over years, as part of the warrany we repaired numerous problems with finish discolorations and veneer separation. They had a huge windows in the front and they caused all the problems. Direct sunlight can cause lots of damage on furniture. Sun damage can threaten the quality of your furniture and is ultimately irreversible.
36 tables had to be stripped and refinished on site in Cafeteria of New York City College. All the tables were badly scratched, water damaged and grimy. After refinishing all the tables looked like new.
For stripping these three tables I was given spase in the big basement of an office building. At first, there were some people, but after hours there was no one. At one point all the lights went out and I spent around 20 min to find someone to turn the lights on.
